Foraging for Native Edibles

Fruits and flowers everywhere, but not a bite to eat? Learn foraging skills and discover the native plants that are safe for your plate like prickly pear, purslane and spiderwort on this identifying and harvesting tour with an expert.

This class will take place in person at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. Space is limited and registration is required. Masks are optional at this time. Please review our Safety Guidelines before your visit.

Include foraging duo Eric Knight and Stacy Coplin's new book with your registration! "Foraging Texas: Finding, Identifying, and Preparing Edible Wild Foods in Texas" is the perfect companion to this fully immersive foraging class. Choose "Adult with Book" to purchase the registration and book combination. If you would not like to include a book with your registration choose "Adult tour/walk".
