Bluebonnets in Alcohol Inks

Bring home the beauty of bluebonnets by learning new artistic techniques with alcohol inks. Learn about this unique medium as you create your own spring meadow scene featuring our state flower. The experienced artist Andrea Patton will be your guide on this artistic journey. Find out how alcohol inks can be used in beautifully blended color schemes, perfect for expressing nature’s many wonders.

This class will take in person at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. Space is limited and registration is required. Masks are optional. Please review our safety guidelines here.

This class is open to beginners and intermediate artists looking to learn a new technique for painting, ages 16 and up. Participants will create two paintings using Nara paper and ceramic tile using alcohol inks.

Please note: Supplies are included with registration. Alcohol inks can stain clothes, please bring a smock or an old shirt to wear. Alcohol inks can also have a strong smell and may stain hands. A face mask and latex-free gloves are optional.
